EN AC-42100 T6 (AlSi7Mg0.3 T6) has globally recognized equivalent casting aluminum alloys with matched chemical composition and T6 mechanical properties, widely substituted in international precision casting projects. All equivalent materials adopt low pressure permanent mold casting and T6 heat treatment, meeting the standard of precision aluminum housing and industrial structural castings.
Global Equivalent Grade List & Comparison: 1. ASTM A356.2 T6: The most identical American standard counterpart, low iron high-purity version, fully consistent in strength, ductility and corrosion resistance with EN AC-42100 T6, commonly used for cross-border industrial and automotive castings. 2. ZL101A-T6 (GB/T 1173-2013): Chinese high-quality cast aluminum alloy, refined grain by titanium element and strictly controlled impurities, completely equivalent to EN AC-42100 T6 for mechanical performance and casting process. 3. JIS AC4CH T6: Japanese high-grade aluminum silicon magnesium casting alloy, matching the low-pressure casting process and T6 temper performance of EN AC-42100 T6, widely applied in vacuum pump parts and mechanical components. 4. BS LM25 TF: Traditional British standard alloy, TF heat treatment is equivalent to T6 state, serving as an alternative grade for European and British engineering projects.
In contrast, ordinary grades like A356.0 and ZL101 have higher iron impurities without grain refinement, resulting in lower toughness and stability, which cannot replace high-standard EN AC-42100 T6 precision casting parts.
