Replacement Ductile Iron Casting for Agriculture Spare Parts

Replacement Ductile Iron Casting is the specialty of Leesh Holdings’ sand foundry for agricultural machinery. We produce ductile iron castings that keep seeders, plows and tillage equipment working season after season — combining the strength of steel with the economy and machinability of iron. Whether you need to match an original OEM part or improve on it, our green sand and resin sand lines deliver agriculture spare parts that fit, wear well and last.

Sand casting remains the most widely used casting method in the world — roughly 80% of all castings are made this way — because molds are inexpensive and the process adapts to almost any shape, size and production volume. Leesh Holdings operates automatic molding lines for both iron and steel, so your replacement ductile iron parts move from pattern to finished casting without leaving our plant.

Materials

Ductile Iron Grades for Agriculture Spare Parts

We cast ductile iron (spheroidal graphite iron) to ASTM A536 and GB specifications. The nodular graphite structure gives these grades high strength, good elongation and excellent shock resistance — exactly what tillage and seeding components need in abrasive soil.

ASTM A536 60-40-1865-45-1280-55-06100-70-03GGG40GGG50GGG60

For adjacent parts that need less ductility, we also cast gray iron to ASTM A48 Cl.20 – Cl.40 and GG20 – GG35 on the same lines.

Process

How We Sand Cast Your Replacement Parts

1. Pattern Making

Wood, resin or metal patterns built from your drawing, 3D model or sample part.

2. Sand Mold & Core

Green sand or resin sand compacted around the pattern; cores form internal cavities.

3. Melting & Pouring

Ductile iron melted to grade, nodulized and poured at controlled temperature.

4. Cooling & Shakeout

The casting cools in the mold, then the sand is knocked away from the part.

5. Cutoff & Cleaning

Risers and runners removed; residual sand and burrs cleaned off.

6. Machining & Inspection

Optional machining, then dimensional and material verification before dispatch.

FAQ

Ductile Iron Casting — Frequently Asked Questions

Which ductile iron grades do you cast for agriculture parts?
We cast ASTM A536 60-40-18, 65-45-12, 80-55-06 and 100-70-03, plus GGG40, GGG50 and GGG60. Tell us the grade on your drawing, or let our engineers recommend the best match for your loading conditions.
What size range can you produce?
Our cast iron line covers 0.1 kg to 3,000 kg per piece, with CT8–CT12 dimensional tolerances and Ra 6.3–25 μm as-cast surface finish.
Can you make replacement parts to match existing OEM components?
Yes. Send drawings, a 3D model or a physical sample — we build patterns to match the original dimensions and can suggest grade or design improvements for longer service life.
How fast can I get a quotation?
With drawings and quantity information, our engineering team returns a quotation within 24 hours, including pattern cost, piece price and delivery schedule.
