Materials: CF8, CF8M, and Duplex Stainless Steel

CF8: A type of austenitic stainless steel, CF8 offers good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. It is suitable for applications where a balance between cost – effectiveness and corrosion protection is required. In the case of cast flanged tee pipe fittings, CF8 can withstand a variety of fluids and environmental conditions commonly encountered in industrial piping systems.
CF8M: Also an austenitic stainless steel, CF8M contains molybdenum, which significantly enhances its corrosion resistance, especially in reducing media and against various acids, alkalis, and salts. For centrifugal impellers, the high corrosion resistance of CF8M is essential as they often come into contact with corrosive liquids during operation.
Duplex Stainless Steel: Comprising a mix of austenitic and ferritic phases, duplex stainless steel combines the strength of ferritic steel with the corrosion resistance of austenitic steel. Investment casting, also known as lost wax casting, is a casting method in which a pattern is made of a melt-able material, then coated with several layers of refractory material to form a shell, and the pattern is melted away after high-temperature firing, and then the molten metal is poured into the shell.

Investment casting have high precision and high surface quality, with small machining allowances, which can achieve less or no machining requires. Investment casting can cast complex thin-walled parts with complex shapes (the minimum wall thickness can reach 0.25-0.4mm), and the smallest hole diameter can reach 2.5mm.
