Sand Casting Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Parts

Sand Casting Hot-dip Galvanized parts combine precise as-cast geometry with a durable zinc dipping coating for castings. We cast grey iron, ductile iron and steel, applying a uniform HDG layer that withstands outdoor and marine corrosion. Every hot dip galvanized cast iron casting is checked for coating thickness and adhesion, so HDG sand casting parts last longer in pumps, valves and hardware.

Why Choose Our Sand Casting Hot-dip Galvanized Parts

One foundry partner takes your part from raw casting to finished, rust-resistant component. Sand casting keeps tooling cost low and offers design freedom for large or complex shapes, while the hot-dip zinc layer protects surfaces inside and out – including recesses that spray coatings often miss.

Complete Protection

Molten zinc bonds metallurgically with the casting, coating edges, cavities and internal surfaces that brushes and sprays cannot reach.

Dimensional Accuracy

Rigid patterns and controlled pouring hold stable as-cast geometry, with machining available on critical faces and threads.

Wide Material Range

Grey iron, ductile iron and cast steel grades selected against your working load, temperature and corrosion environment.

Prototype to Volume

Flexible sand tooling supports sampling and scheduled batch production without expensive die investment.

Hot Dip Galvanized Sand Casting Materials & Coating Standards

Grey Iron, Ductile Iron & Cast Steel Options

Material grades are confirmed with you at enquiry stage against working load, temperature and corrosion environment:

MaterialTypical ApplicationsCharacter
Grey ironHousings, valve bodies, counterweightsExcellent castability and vibration damping
Ductile ironBrackets, fittings, load-bearing hardwareHigher tensile strength and elongation than grey iron
Cast steelStructural and wear componentsTough and weldable for higher-stress duty

Zinc Dipping Coating for Castings: Thickness & Adhesion Control

Castings are degreased, pickled and fluxed, then immersed in molten zinc at about 450 °C, where a metallurgically bonded layer of zinc and zinc-iron alloys grows into the surface. Coating thickness and uniformity are measured for each batch and adhesion is verified before packing; galvanizing can follow ASTM A123 / ISO 1461 or your own specification.

Applications of HDG Sand Casting Parts

HDG sand casting parts serve equipment that lives outdoors or in corrosive service, where a bare casting would rust through within a few seasons. Typical orders include:

Pumps & valvesPipe fittings & flangesMounting bracketsMunicipal & highway hardwareAgricultural machineryMarine fittingsArchitectural hardwareHand wheels & clamps

Sand Cast Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Parts for OEM & ODM Projects

Sand cast hot-dip galvanized steel parts are produced to your drawings for OEM and ODM projects. Share 2D prints or 3D models and we will confirm casting grade, coating thickness and machining scope together. Machining, drilling and tapping can be completed before galvanizing so threads stay clean, and parts are packed to arrive ready for assembly.
