Steel Forging – Hot Forged Step Shaft

Premium Steel Forging by Hot Forging

Our steel forging is a testament to precision and high – end manufacturing. The hot forging process is the cornerstone of creating these robust components, designed to meet the demands of diverse industries.

Materials: 34CrNiMo6 and AISI 4340

34CrNiMo6

34CrNiMo6 is a key material in our steel forging. This alloy steel offers exceptional strength and toughness. Its chromium, nickel, and molybdenum composition provides excellent hardenability, allowing for deep and uniform hardening. This makes it ideal for applications where the forging needs to withstand heavy loads, high stress, and fatigue.

AISI 4340 (UNS G43400)

AISI 4340 is another premium material option. It has a high – strength – to – weight ratio, making it suitable for applications where weight reduction without sacrificing performance is crucial. The nickel and chromium in this alloy enhance its corrosion resistance, while the molybdenum improves its resistance to creep and high – temperature deformation.

The Hot Forging Process

The hot forging process we use in steel forging involves heating the material to a malleable state. This enables us to shape it into the desired form with precision. During hot forging, the grain structure of the metal is refined, enhancing its mechanical properties. The process also compresses the metal, eliminating internal voids and improving density. Whether it’s 34CrNiMo6 or AISI 4340, our hot – forged steel forgings are engineered to deliver outstanding performance and reliability in various industrial settings.
