3. Notes
Note 1: In bronzes of grades БрОЗЦ7С5Н1, БрОЗЦ12С5, БрО8Ц4 and БрО10Ц2, the total content of silicon and aluminum impurities shall not exceed 0.02%.
For castings not intended for parts operating under hydraulic pressure, by agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer, the aluminum content may be increased to 0.05% and the silicon content to 0.05%.
Note 2: Impurities of arsenic up to 0.15%, magnesium up to 0.02%, sulfur up to 0.05% are allowed, all included in the total impurity content.
Note 3: Except for grade БрОЗЦ7С5Н1, the mass fraction of nickel in all grades may be increased to 2.0% (deducted from the copper content, not included in the total impurity content).
Note 4: By agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer, the mass fraction of lead in bronzes of grades БрО10Ц2 and БрО8Ц4 may be increased to 1.5% (not included in the total impurity content).
Note 5: In castings from bronzes of grades БрО10Ц2 and БрО8Ц4 intended for welded structures, the mass fraction of lead shall not exceed 0.05%.
Note 6: By agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer, the mass fraction of phosphorus in grade БрО1ОС10 may be increased to 1.0%.
Note 7: Impurities not specified in this standard are included in the total impurity content.
4. Mechanical Properties
The mechanical properties of unheat-treated bronzes and their applications are given in Appendix 1.
5. Test Methods
5.1 Chemical Composition Analysis
The chemical composition of bronzes is determined according to GOST 1953.1-79 — GOST 1953.12-79, GOST 25086-87.
5.2 Mechanical Properties Determination
Tensile strength and elongation after fracture are determined in accordance with standard technical documentation.
5.3 Tensile Test
Tensile tests are carried out in accordance with GOST 1497-84.
5.4 Brinell Hardness Test
Brinell hardness is determined in accordance with GOST 9012-59.
5.5 Standard Correspondence
The correspondence between the grades of tin bronzes of this standard and GOST 613-65 is given in Appendix 2.
