EN-GJN-HV600(XCr23) Casting is the European designation for a 23–28% chromium abrasion resistant white iron, listed in EN 12513 under the material number EN-JN3049. A dense network of primary M7C3 chromium carbides, supported by a heat-treatable matrix, gives the alloy its characteristic wear life: after quench and temper it reaches 600 HV and above, while keeping enough toughness for impact duty. Leesh Holdings supplies this grade worldwide as rough or fully machined castings, produced strictly to customer drawings.
Chemical Composition
Limits below follow EN 12513. Narrower customer windows are routine for us — the same melt can be certified against ASTM A532 Class III Type A, KmTBCr26 or G-X 260 Cr 27 requirements when your purchase order is written to those standards.
| Element | Content (%) |
|---|---|
| C | 1.8 – 3.6 |
| Si | ≤ 1.0 |
| Mn | 0.5 – 1.5 |
| Cr | 23 – 28 |
| Mo | ≤ 3.0 |
| Ni | ≤ 2.0 |
| Cu | ≤ 1.2 |

| S | ≤ 0.08 |
Foundry Inside — How We Cast It
Four steps turn a drawing into a finished EN-GJN-HV600(XCr23) Casting, all under one quality system:

Pattern & Molding
CAD-driven sand molds keep wall thickness and machining allowance under control.

Melting & Pouring
Induction furnaces with spectrometer-controlled chemistry on every single heat.

Heat Treatment
Destabilized at 950–1050 °C, then quenched and tempered to 600 HV and above.

Machining & Inspection
CNC machining of flanges and bores; hardness and dimensional reports with each shipment.
Where It Works
Typical duties for EN-GJN-HV600(XCr23) Casting include:
- Slurry pump wet-end components — impellers, casing liners, throat bushings
- FGD pump internals for flue gas desulfurization
- Crusher and mill liners in mining and cement plants
- Dredging and cyclone-feed equipment
- Shot-blasting machine liners and blast wheel parts
Questions Buyers Ask
Is this grade the same as "26% chrome" white iron?
In practice, yes — the EN-GJN-HV600(XCr23) Casting window of 23–28% chromium contains the commercial 26–27% Cr grades. If your purchase order is written against KmTBCr26 or ASTM A532 Class III Type A instead, we melt and certify to that document.
Can the castings be machined afterwards?
Yes. Two routes are available: deliver soft-annealed so your shop can drill and turn, then re-harden; or we machine the critical faces in-house before final hardening and grind the remainder. Both are routine for our foundry partners.
What should I send for a quotation?
A 2D drawing with tolerances (PDF or STEP) plus duty details — slurry pH, solids content and particle size. Email david.lee@leesh.cn and you will receive a priced proposal, including casting weight and heat-treatment route, within 24 hours.
Which documents come with the castings?
Every shipment carries an EN 10204 3.1 certificate — spectrometer chemistry and hardness — together with a dimensional report. Third-party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged before shipment on request.
